Difference of younger and older pu-erh tea as a cholesterol reducing effects
Pu-erh teas have cholesterol-lowering properties that help lower the body's cholesterol levels. Older or more fermented pu-erh teas and teas made from older tea trees have more properties.
In terms of recommendations, we'd recommend:
- Everyday Ripe Pu'er: a budget-friendly option that is aged for 11 years
- Menghai 2009 Old Tree Ripe Pu'er: aged for 13 years and from old tea trees
- Laoman'e 2018 Ancient Tree Ripe Pu'er: younger, but the tea leaves are from ancient tea tree of at least 100-200 years old and from an excellent terroir.
We'd say it'd take up to 3 cups of pu-erh tea per day for at least 3 months to see any result, but remember to consult your doctor first for medical advice.
